Hygienist Visits
At Premier Smile, we find that prevention is the best approach – helping you and your family to avoid problems such as tooth decay, tooth loss and gum disease, so you can keep your teeth for life. We’ll recommend a customised treatment plan that will maintain your dental health and help to save you money over the long-term.
The long-term survival of your natural smile is dependent on the support of healthy gums and Nicky, our hygienist will help to keep you on track.
A hygiene appointment involves a thorough cleaning of your mouth and the removal of the bacterial plaque that builds up and contributes to tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath – leaving your mouth healthy and smelling fresh. She will also offer you advice for improving your oral hygiene regime between visits to Premier Smile.
Regular dental examinations and hygiene are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile and a choice of Dental Plans are available to you, depending on the level of hygiene care that you need or prefer in order to spread costs at the reduced price for you.
By joining one of our Dental Plans, our specialists are able to keep a close eye on your dental health, and to spot potential problems at an early stage so they are easier to treat.
We now offer patients who are not registered with Premier Smile to make an appointment with the Hygienist for a clean, which would be booked for 45 minutes at £78.
Since three out of four teeth are lost through gum disease, it’s clear why we put such emphasis on the early identification and cure of any gum disorder. Sometimes our patients need specialist care to help them combat the more advanced forms of gum disease, Periodontitis.
This can cause symptoms including sore, swollen and bleeding gums, bad breath, and can eventually lead to tooth loss.
If gum disease is present, depending on its severity, our hygienist or dentist will undertake or recommend an appropriate course of action.
For extra oral hygiene appointments, you can join our special Premier Perio Dental Plans.
If you’d like a comprehensive appraisal of your dental health or if you are unsure of which Dental Plan to join, a good next step is to book an appointment by calling 01525 372089 or emailing us: enquiries@premiersmile.co.uk.
The consultation includes a review of your medical history, a discussion of your dental health and any concerns regarding your teeth and smile, followed by an assessment of the health of your gums, cheeks, tongue, lips and teeth.
Following your review, we'll discuss our findings and treatment options with you and then recommend a treatment programme that ensures any dental problems are corrected and your smile objectives are met.
