Premier Smile Dental Excellence began as a general dental practice and has transformed into a leading provider of specialised dental care in Leighton Buzzard.
Under the vision and leadership of Dr Nooshin Vasfi, the practice has grown significantly, embracing digitalisation and the latest dental technologies to provide a higher standard of care.
From the very beginning, Dr Vasfi saw the potential to create a practice that focused not only on routine care but also on complex treatments that many other practices shy away from.

Dr Nooshin Vasfi is among the very few dentists with specialist and extensive university post-graduate trainings in both root canal treatment and vital pulp therapy—focused on saving teeth—and implant dentistry, which replaces teeth that cannot be saved.
She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998, followed by additional professional qualifications. In 2004, she obtained her Diploma of Clinical Dental Sciences from the Eastman Dental Institute and Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In 2006, Dr Vasfi joined the specialist registrar training programme at Guy’s Hospital, completed her Master of Clinical Dentistry at the University of London, and then achieved Membership of Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. Subsequently, she was listed as an Endodontic Specialist on the General Dental Council’s UK register. She is also a member of the British Endodontic Society and the Langham Endodontic Study Group.
Dr Vasfi has over 27 years of clinical experience and has taught post-graduate students in endodontics at King’s Hospital. She established her Leighton Buzzard specialised Dental practice and specialist endodontic referral base in 2009. In addition to her endodontic specialty, she completed extensive implant dentistry training (with a strong prosthodontic focus) and obtained her Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute (University College London) in 2015. She has since completed more than 400 hours in advanced gum treatments and advanced restorative procedures, enabling her to reconstruct and rehabilitate severely damaged teeth back to health and function.
She has been investing heavily in the education and training of her team of excellent nurses, and in advance technology for her dental practice, Premier Smile Dental Excellence.
Dr Aryan Gharakhani is an associate dentist at Premier Smile, specialising in periodontology, implantology, and Invisalign treatments. He graduated with honors from the University of Debrecen and is currently finalising his Master’s in Periodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital (University College London). Dr Gharakhani is passionate about preventive dentistry and helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. His expertise in complex implant cases, gum disease management, bone and soft tissue regeneration and orthodontics ensures tailored, high-quality treatments. With a strong focus on patient comfort and education, he works closely with nervous patients, making their dental experience stress-free and comfortable.
Angie Kong brings over 12 years of experience in general dentistry from Hong Kong. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Hong Kong, one of the world’s top dental schools. In 2015, she earned her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, she ensures a welcoming and inclusive environment for diverse patients. Angie specializes in preventive care, periodontal therapy, and oral health education, helping patients maintain long-term dental health through personalized hygiene plans and expert guidance.
After training in the Southwest and gaining valuable experience in private practice, Maia has returned to the Home Counties, where she now provides exceptional care to her patients. With a refined approach to restorative dentistry, Maia is dedicated to restoring both the function and aesthetics of her patients’ smiles, helping them regain their confidence with precision and care. Her gentle and patient-focused approach ensures that each treatment is minimally invasive, promoting long-term oral health and comfort. Her caring and empathetic nature makes her particularly attentive to the individual needs of every patient.
Maia graduated with Honours from the University of Plymouth, where she developed a passion for restorative dentistry and a keen interest in orthodontics. She is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Orthodontics, further advancing her expertise and commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. Aside from dentistry, Maia is a gifted musician, skilled in four instruments, and enjoys expressing her creativity through painting and other artistic pursuits.
Susan Rouse is the Head Dental Nurse and CQC Manager at Premier Smile. With over 15 years of experience, she plays a crucial role in ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance. She has been with the practice since 2007, making her a trusted and integral team member. Susan oversees clinical procedures, infection control, and patient safety, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment. She is committed to making every patient feel at ease while maintaining exceptional hygiene and practice standards. Her leadership ensures the seamless operation of the practice while supporting both patients and colleagues.
Clare Holland is an experienced dental nurse with over 12 years in the field. She holds a NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing and has additional certifications in sedation and dental radiography. Her expertise in assisting with surgical procedures and anxious patients makes her a vital part of the clinical team. Clare is passionate about creating a reassuring environment for patients, especially those undergoing complex treatments. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and outdoor activities. Her calm and friendly approach ensures a positive dental experience for every patient at Premier Smile.
Teresa Stratford has been an essential member of Premier Smile since 2014. She is a qualified dental nurse and receptionist, dedicated to ensuring a smooth and welcoming patient journey. Teresa holds a NEBDN qualification and has completed a management course, enabling her to efficiently handle patient inquiries, appointments, and practice policies. She is committed to providing excellent customer service, ensuring that every patient feels supported and informed. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys reading, swimming, and playing the piano, currently working towards her Grade 7 certification. Her professionalism and warmth make her a valued member of the team.

There is free parking at the rear of the practice with limited spots. Alternatively, you can park at Morrison’s (5-minute walk) or the city centre car parks, all within a short walk of the practice.

- Aylesbury: Take the A418 to Leighton Road, then follow signs to Hockliffe Street.
- Milton Keynes: Use the A4146 towards Leighton Buzzard, turning onto Hockliffe Street.
